My leadership Philosophy
A good leader is one who enables those under his supervision to give the best of themselves. When I was the Coordinator of Jesus Alive Gospel Outreach, in Congo, at the end of the civil year, there was an appraisal form to fill out. One of the rubrics concerned how the employee used the personal initiative. Did the employee have a spirit of personal initiative? While conforming himself to the general line of the Ministry, the employee has to take certain initiatives which helped to move the work forward. A good leader will have to foster the emergence of such initiatives that will advance the work. A good working climate will bring this to life. The leader sets the objectives to be achieved, then he will have to help those in this group to move forward in this direction. He should have a broad mind and a spirit of understanding. He will show listening skills. My leadership will have to be a catalyst.
Artifact: Appraisal form.
